Magnus Jansson: Pioneering Innovator in VR, 360° Video, and Padel Technology
Magnus Jansson is a visionary camera inventor, passionate skateboarder, and avid padel enthusiast. His journey began with the co-founding of COMOTION (2005-2012), where he transformed home development by integrating VR applications and motion graphics, while also proudly sponsoring the Swedish Open Tennis for a decade.
In 2012, Magnus co-founded Briskeye Communication AB, revolutionizing the industry with the first 360° video camera capable of real-time processing. This groundbreaking technology found its way into the hands of law enforcement and military units across the globe, enhancing their situational awareness and evidence gathering capabilities.
Magnus’s innovative spirit took him to the US with Raptor Vision, where he developed fan-engaging VR experiences for major clients like the NBA and Madison Square Garden. This paved the way for his next venture in the booming world of padel.
In 2020, partnering with Vivek from BTH, Magnus launched GAMECAM, a high-speed live streaming camera specifically designed for padel. The following years saw the introduction of a comprehensive video platform, game analytics software, and the cutting-edge GAMETRAQ Gen.3, which delivers 4K live broadcasting and AI-generated player statistics.
GAMECAM’s mission is to create an unparalleled ecosystem for racket sports, driven by relentless innovation and a deep understanding of what players and clubs need. Under Magnus’s leadership, the company continues to push the boundaries of technology, guided by the principles of curiosity, hunger for excellence, and a friendly approach.
Stay curious, be hungry, act friendly.
